House Painting Tips

If you are interested in painting your house yourself, here a few tips that will help you do so. By taking these few steps, you can help improve the value and aesthetic value.

  • Step 1: Rent a Paint sprayer.
Many paint stores will carry paint sprayers which can help touch up or cover old damage caused by years of wear and tear. To use the sprayer, move the painter from left to right and keep all the painting even, otherwise the paint will drip down the building. If you have a door or window you can take a cardboard piece to cover them.
  • Step 2: Rent or Buy A Paint Can and Roller
Once you have finished spraying the house, use a roller and go over the parts of the house to make a smooth looking paint finish. One other tip is to not buy a cheap roller, you will be better off with purchasing a better one.
  • Step 3: Don't paint if it is very sunny or windy
If the sun is out and bright this can make the paint bubble up which will not look good. Also, if it is windy the paint will dry up to fast and the paint will not look up to standard.
